Lodgy joins the current Dacia model range starting this spring.Sandero, Logan, and Duster receive an older sibling dedicated to large family customers.Dacia Lodgy is a minivan with five or seven seats that brings a series of novelties in the Dacia range.Most importantly: for the first time we have a turbo petrol engine in the range of engines available at launch.This is a new engine from the Renault organ bank.It has 1.2 liters and is part of the TCe engine family that has already debuted on the Renault Megane.The 1.2-liter turbo engine has direct fuel injection and 16 valves, being the most modern petrol engine that can be purchased for a Dacia model.Although small, the 1.2-liter TCe engine develops 115 hp and 190 Nm.It will probably be one of the most popular engines in Western markets, especially in markets where large cylinder capacity is charged.Dacia is thus in line with the general trend of downsizing car manufacturers.Engines with smaller and smaller cylinder capacities, but aided by turbochargers to develop competitive power.For those who want a simpler engine, the classic 1.6 with 80 hp is on offer, along with two variants of the already well-known 1.5 dCi diesel engine.Lodgy is the first Dacia model that is not assembled at the Mioveni plant.Lodgy is made in Morocco, at the newly opened Renault plant in Tangier.Dacia Lodgy is a model designed especially for Western European markets, where the minivan body is appreciated by many families.In Eastern Europe, this type of body is less popular.Dacia Lodgy can already be ordered from dealers across the country.On the equipment list we find for the first time a navigation system with touchscreen, heated seats and a speed limiter.
